### QoS (Quality of service) ###

This is a Linux bash script that will set up tc to limit the outgoing bandwidth for connections to the Dash network. It limits outbound TCP traffic with a source or destination port of 9999, but not if the destination IP is within a LAN.

This means one can have an always-on bitcoind instance running, and another local bitcoind/bitcoin-qt instance which connects to this node and receives blocks from it.

Add Linux script to limit outgoing bandwidth used by Bitcoin This commit adds a Linux script that uses tc and iptables to limit outgoing bandwidth to Bitcoin nodes. All tcp connections with a source or destination port of 8333 are limited to the chosen rate. It does not alter the incoming bandwidth. Additionally, outgoing bandwidth to a host on a local LAN (defined by the LOCALNET variable) is not limited. 2013-06-03 12:15:12 +02:00
