9999f891d1c9093e552492cf8ccc3168370c7a39 bench: Avoid deprecated use of volatile += (MarcoFalke)

Pull request description:

  Deprecated in C++20 according to https://eel.is/c++draft/expr.ass#6 .

  ```
  bench/examples.cpp:16:13: warning: compound assignment with ‘volatile’-qualified left operand is deprecated [-Wvolatile]
        |         ~~~~^~~~~~~~~
  ```

  While C++20 is currently unsupported, I don't see any downside to a minor fixup to an example benchmark. This will also make a hypothetical C++20 patch smaller.

29e983386b0aecf99cdb7d0e08ba6b450bed313e Fixes Bug in Transaction generation in ComplexMempool benchmark (Shorya)

Pull request description:

  This fixes issues with `ComplexMempool` benchmark introduced in [#17292](https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/17292) , this stress test benchmarks performance of ancestor and descendant tracking of mempool graph algorithms on a complex Mempool.

  This Benchmark first creates 100 base transactions and stores them in `available_coins` vector. `available_coins` is used for selecting ancestor transactions while creating 800 new transactions. For this a random transaction is picked from `available_coins` and some of its outputs are mapped to the inputs of the new transaction being created.

  Now in case we exhaust all the outputs of an entry in `available_coins` then we need to remove it from `available_coins` before the next iteration of choosing a potential ancestor , it is now implemented with this patch.

   As the index of the entry is randomly chosen from `available_coins` , In order to remove it from the vector , if index of the selected entry is not at the end of `available_coins` vector , it is swapped with the entry at the back of the vector , then the entry at the end of `available_coins` is popped out.

  Earlier the code responsible for constructing outputs of the newly created transaction was inside the loop used for assigning ancestors to the transaction , which does some unnecessary work as it creates outputs of the transaction again and again , now it is moved out of the loop so outputs of the transaction are created just once before adding it to the final list of the transactions created. This one is a minor change to save some computation.

   These changes have changed the `ComplexMempool` benchmark results on `bitcoin:master` as follows :

  **Before**

  >
  |               ns/op |                op/s |    err% |     total | benchmark
  |--------------------:|--------------------:|--------:|----------:|:----------
  |      232,881,625.00 |                4.29 |    0.7% |      2.55 | `ComplexMemPool`

  **After**

  >
  |               ns/op |                op/s |    err% |     total | benchmark
  |--------------------:|--------------------:|--------:|----------:|:----------
  |      497,275,135.00 |                2.01 |    0.5% |      5.49 | `ComplexMemPool`

Pull request description:

  Make reasoning about dependencies easier by not including unused dependencies.

  Please note that the removed headers are _not_ "transitively included" by other still included headers. Thus the removals are real.

  As an added bonus this change means less work for the preprocessor/compiler. At least 51 393 lines of code no longer needs to be processed:

  ```
  $ git diff -u HEAD~1 | grep -E '^\-#include ' | cut -f2 -d"<" | cut -f1 -d">" | \
        sed 's%^%src/%g' | xargs cat | wc -l
  51393
  ```

  Note that 51 393 is the lower bound: the real number is likely much higher when taking into account transitively included headers :-)

084e17cebd424b8e8ced674bc810eef4e6ee5d3b Remove unused includes (practicalswift)

Pull request description:

  As requested by MarcoFalke in https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/16273#issuecomment-521332089:

  This PR removes unused includes.

  Please note that in contrast to #16273 I'm limiting the scope to the trivial cases of pure removals (i.e. no includes added) to make reviewing easier.

  I'm seeking "Concept ACK":s for this obviously non-urgent minor cleanup.

  Rationale:
  * Avoids unnecessary re-compiles in case of header changes.
  * Makes reasoning about code dependencies easier.
  * Reduces compile-time memory usage.
  * Reduces compilation time.
  * Warm fuzzy feeling of being lean :-)

    Code review ACK 084e17cebd424b8e8ced674bc810eef4e6ee5d3b. PR only removes include lines and it still compiles. In the worst case someone might have to explicitly add an include later for something now included implicitly. But maybe some effort was taken to avoid this, and it wouldn't be a tragedy anyway.

Pull request description:

  This does not remove OpenSSL, but makes our own PRNG the 'main' one; for GetStrongRandBytes, the OpenSSL RNG is still used (indirectly, by feeding its output into our PRNG state).

  It includes a few policy changes (regarding what entropy is seeded when).

  Before this PR:
  * GetRand*:
    * OpenSSL
  * GetStrongRand*:
    * CPU cycle counter
    * Perfmon data (on Windows, once 10 min)
    * /dev/urandom (or equivalent)
    * rdrand (if available)
  * From scheduler when idle:
    * CPU cycle counter before and after 1ms sleep
  * At startup:
    * CPU cycle counter before and after 1ms sleep

  After this PR:
  * GetRand*:
    * Stack pointer (which indirectly identifies thread and some call stack information)
    * rdrand (if available)
    * CPU cycle counter
  * GetStrongRand*:
    * Stack pointer (which indirectly identifies thread and some call stack information)
    * rdrand (if available)
    * CPU cycle counter
    * /dev/urandom (or equivalent)
    * OpenSSL
    * CPU cycle counter again
  * From scheduler when idle:
    * Stack pointer (which indirectly identifies thread and some call stack information)
    * rdrand (if available)
    * CPU cycle counter before and after 1ms sleep
    * Perfmon data (on Windows, once every 10 min)
  * At startup:
    * Stack pointer (which indirectly identifies thread and some call stack information)
    * rdrand (if available)
    * CPU cycle counter
    * /dev/urandom (or equivalent)
    * OpenSSL
    * CPU cycle counter again
    * Perfmon data (on Windows, once every 10 min)

  The interface of random.h is also simplified, and documentation is added.

  This implements most of #14623.

Pull request description:

  Following #13190, gArgs is aware of all of the command line arguments. This PR has gArgs check whether the arguments provided are actually valid arguments. When an unknown argument is encountered, an error is printed to stderr and the program exist.

  Since gArgs is used for everything that has command line arguments, `bitcoind`, `bitcoin-cli`, `bitcoin-qt`, `bitcoin-tx`, and `bench_bitcoin` are all effected by this change and all now have the same argument checking behavior.

Pull request description:

  This PR adds an optional (off by default) `-avoidpartialspends` flag, which changes coin select to use output groups rather than outputs, where each output group corresponds to all outputs with the same destination.

  It is a privacy improvement, as each time you spend some output, any other output that is publicly associated with the destination (address) will also be spent at the same time, at the cost of fee increase for cases where coin select without group restriction would find a more optimal set of coins (see example below).

  For regular use without address reuse, this PR should have no effect on the user experience whatsoever; it only affects users who, for some reason, have multiple outputs with the same destination (i.e. address reuse).

  Nodes with this turned off will still try to avoid partial spending, if the fee of the resulting transaction is not greater than the fee of the original transaction.

  Example: a node has four outputs linked to two addresses `A` and `B`:

  * 1.0 btc to `A`
  * 0.5 btc to `A`
  * 1.0 btc to `B`
  * 0.5 btc to `B`

  The node sends 0.2 btc to `C`. Without `-avoidpartialspends`, the following coin selection will occur:
  * 0.5 btc to `A` or `B` is picked
  * 0.2 btc is output to `C`
  * 0.3 - fee is output to (unique change address)

  With `-avoidpartialspends`, the following will instead happen:
  * Both of (0.5, 1.0) btc to `A` or `B` is picked (one or the other pair)
  * 0.2 btc is output to `C`
  * 1.3 - fee is output to (unique change address)

  As noted, the pro here is that, assuming nobody sends to the address after you spend from it, you will only ever use one address once. The con is that the transaction becomes slightly larger in this case, because it is overpicking outputs to adhere to the no partial spending rule.

  This complements #10386, in particular it addresses @luke-jr and @gmaxwell's concerns in https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/10386#issuecomment-300667926 and https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/10386#issuecomment-302361381.

  Together with `-avoidreuse`, this fully addresses the concerns in #10065 I believe.

Merge #13341: Stop translating command line options
3d4fa83587 Stop translating command line options (Wladimir J. van der Laan)

Pull request description:

  Many options are extremely technical, and refer internals, making it difficult to translate usefully. This came up in discussion of e.g. #10949. If a message is not understood by translators (which are typically end-users, not developers) they'll either translate it literally, making it harder to understand instead of easier, with the added drawback of the user no longer being able to google it.

  Also the translation was only working for bitcoin-qt as with the console programs, there is no translation backend. So it was injecting never-used translation messages for bitcoin-cli, -tx.

  For these reasons, stop translating options help completely. This should not affect the output **in any way** \* except for bitcoin-qt when a non-English language is configured in the locale.

bls: Avoid needless hashing (#4013)
* bls: Only update cached hash in CBLSWrapper when it's really needed

* bls: Reset cached hash in CBLSLazyWrapper instead of re-assigning uint256() to it

* bench: Update expected numbers in bls benchmarks

* bls: Drop UpdateHash methods

Make sure the hash is updated via GetHash() only.

bench: Tweak BLS benchmarks (#4012)
* bench: Add a simple BLS signature aggregation benchmark

* bench: Tweak `BLS_*KeyAggregate_Normal` benchmarks

* bench: Adjust the expected number of iterations for `BLS_*KeyAggregate_Normal` benchmarks

* bench: Add LargeBlock*100 benchmarks, drop LargeBlock*10000 ones

These huge ones are kind of meaningless (results are ~10x slower than 1000) and it's a waste of time. Smaller ones should give an idea if there is a performance drop with the growth of the "block" size.

4a7387fba9 Merge #13786: refactor: Avoid locking tx pool cs thrice
fa5ed4f8d2 refactor: Avoid locking tx pool cs thrice (MarcoFalke)

Pull request description:

  `addUnchecked` is (outside the tests) only called by ATMP, which already takes the tx pool read lock. So locking it twice more in both `addUnchecked` methods seems redundant.

  Similarly `CalculateMemPoolAncestors` is (beside once in the wallet) only called in contexts, where the tx pool lock is already taken. So remove the lock there as well.

Partial merge bitcoin#14624: Some simple improvements to the RNG code (#3923)
* random: Introduce std::shuffle alternative for FastRandomContext

3db746beb4

* random: change std::random_shuffle calls to std::shuffle

https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/algorithm/random_shuffle (deprecated in c++14)

* random: change FastRandomContext std::random_shuffle calls to shuffle

* random: change last std::shuffle calls to Shuffle

std::shuffle doesn't accept only two arguments so we use FastRandomContext()

Backport bitcoin#10637 (partial) (#3878)
* Calculate and store the number of bytes required to spend an input

* Store effective value, fee, and long term fee in CInputCoin

Have CInputCOin store effective value information. This includes the effective
value itself, the fee, and the long term fee for the input

* Implement Branch and Bound coin selection in a new file

Create a new file for coin selection logic and implement the BnB algorithm in it.

* Move output eligibility to a separate function

* Use a struct for output eligibility

Instead of specifying 3 parameters, use a struct for those parameters
in order to reduce the number of arguments to SelectCoinsMinConf.

* Remove coinselection.h -> wallet.h circular dependency

Changes CInputCoin to coinselection and to use CTransactionRef in
order to avoid a circular dependency. Also moves other coin selection
specific variables out of wallet.h to coinselectoin.h

* Add tests for the Branch and Bound algorithm

* Move current coin selection algorithm to coinselection.{cpp,h}

Moves the current coin selection algorithm out of SelectCoinsMinConf
and puts it in coinselection.{cpp,h}. The new function, KnapsackSolver,
instead of taking a vector of COutputs, will take a vector of CInputCoins
that is prepared by SelectCoinsMinConf.

* Move original knapsack solver tests to coinselector_tests.cpp

* Add a GetMinimumFeeRate function which is wrapped by GetMinimumFee

* Have SelectCoinsMinConf and SelectCoins use BnB or Knapsack and use it (partial)

Allows SelectCoinsMinConf and SelectCoins be able to switch between
using BnB or Knapsack for choosing coins.

Has SelectCoinsMinConf do the preprocessing necessary to support either
BnB or Knapsack. This includes calculating the filtering the effective
values for each input.

Uses BnB in CreateTransaction to find an exact match for the output.
If BnB fails, it will fallback to the Knapsack solver.

Dash specific note: just always use Knapsack in CreateTransaction.

* Benchmark BnB in the worst case where it exhausts

* Add a test to make sure that negative effective values are filtered

* More of 12747: Fix typos
